Learn Golf Quickly - What You Should Do When You Are Pressed For Time

So, imagine you are a business man, and one of your clients just called you up inviting you on a little golf retreat scheduled for next week. Here is your dilemma: you don't play a lick of golf.

What makes it ten times worse is the fact that this particular client is one of your "bread and butter" guys, one of your biggest accounts. You know that you can't afford to offend him by saying no, with the potential risk of losing your business with him.

So, the most advisable decision you could make here is to accept the invitation, and join your client and his buddies on the golf course. You pick up the phone, and respond with your delightful tone that you would appreciate getting to hit the links with him and his acquaintances.

But, remember - you still don't know how to play. You probably haven't so much as swung a golf club before in your life. Are you up a creek without a paddle? Not quite.

There are several things you can do if you in need of learning the game as quickly as possible. I will warn you though, chances are your game won't look anything like Tiger Woods' come next week.

Try investing in a local experienced golf instructor. Their hourly rates are typically very reasonable. Instructors in my area go anywhere from $8 an hour, on up to $100 (for the top names, obviously). If you are lucky, you may even find an instructor that holds a Professional license that is offering good rates on their lessons.

Work with the instructor on your particular needs. You won't be able to get a complete grasp of the game in one week, but you will be able to navigate your way through 18 holes, even if your score isn't so pretty. Odds are that your score wouldn't be as bad as if you declined one of your biggest client's invitations, if you know what I mean!
